Clarklift C500-70 propane. 2/10 would not recommend. Seriously lacking in power. Punishing ride. Brake effort is tiring. Read-wheel steering is kind of fun though. Mad drifts.

Looks like the kind of thing that is really fun for the first five minutes.

Depends. Is baby secured to a pallet?

Yeah. It’s kinda fun to screw around on when its empty. But the brakes require so much effort I worked up a pretty good sweat. Add in the nerves of moving a bunch of expensive delicate equipment that was teetering on the pallets through doors with an inch clearance on each side and it gets old quick. Oh also it started to roll down a hill even with the parking brake on. Basically on anything other than perfectly level ground it requires standing on the brake pedals (yes it has two) to keep in place.

What kind of dadgummed irresponsible parent neglects to secure their baby to a pallet when moving it? I tell you, this country is going straight down the tubes, the intertubes, no one has any personal accountability anymore.

Leaks like a seive, but starts every time. Not sure what it leaks, but everything is probably a good place to start. The damn thing just won’t die though. According to our service guy Clarks don’t die, they just leak.

This one does start unless the tank is basically empty, I’ll give it that. It isn’t pretty though when it’s cold. Today it fought it, And cranked for a while, but it got going. No puddle under it today. Must have been serviced recently. I’m probably going to get the chance to drive a 15k forklift next week. It’s a rental. Hopefully it’s a newer one. I got to drive around a low-hours, well-maintained JLG 12k a few years ago and it was tons of fun.

Damn, the brakes make it sound terrible. Something must be wrong with it.

I think there is, but things have to be totally broken down where I work to get any manager to sign off of maintenance. That being said, I’ve driven other forklifts where the brakes are a pretty good workout as well. Must be unboosted.
